The Vision

19  ... go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you.  And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age"  Matthew 28:20 NIV

The Great Commission.  Jesus gave the disciples this charge after his resurrection that applies to all Christians.  At Cool Springs, we feel that God is leading us to fulfill our charge with some big endeavors.   These endeavors we call collectively "The Vision".   There is a great opportunity to reach the lost and provide services for Christian families in Pickens and North Cherokee Counties as these communities experience great growth.  Some of these opportunities include:

  • A Christian Early Learning Center   In an effort to minister to families and set a strong foundation of faith, we believe that God is calling us to establish and maintain a Christian preschool with a conservative, practical, Bible-based curriculum.

  • A Christian School   A Christian elementary school that would equip students to be missionaries in our public high schools.

  • After School Program   When the bus drops off students at our facility, they could be tutored, mentored, and evangelized by loving, intelligent and skilled educators.

  • English as a Second Language  With more and more immigrants moving into our area, this would be a wonderful way to assist them in assimilating while we share the message of Christ.

  • Adult Education    A place to teach job skills, GED preparatory classes, classes for college credit, and courses to prepare people for the ministry.  A way to show people the way out of destructive lifestyles and that Christian love is more than an idea without works.

  • Senior Adult Center    Activities for the people who have built our community and need a place of fellowship and stimulation to include adult day care to relieve the stress placed on caregivers of the elderly.
